Just as every watch brand has a special model or signature collection in its history, there are also places that come to hold a unique significance for a Maison. Panerai’s Florence boutique is one of them. Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the boutique is one of the cornerstones of the brand’s history. Opened in 1926 under the name “Orologeria Svizzera,” it was not merely a place where watches were sold; it also served as a workshop where watchmakers practised their craft. Over the decades, the boutique became one of the most important witnesses to Panerai’s journey towards becoming a global watchmaking name. To mark its centenary, the historic boutique will host a series of special events throughout the year. From 10 to 19 September, a special exhibition entitled “Immersion” will also be held at Museo Marino Marini in Florence.
