Pavyllon
One of Monaco’s newest Michelin-starred culinary stars is Yannick Alléno. The celebrated chef opened an outpost of his Paris restaurant Pavyllon inside Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, quickly earning its first Michelin star. The Pavyllon concept is Monaco’s interpretation of Alléno’s “gastronomic counter” approach, which found major success in Paris.
Unlike traditional Michelin fine dining venues, the atmosphere here feels more relaxed and contemporary. At the center of the restaurant stands a large chef’s counter facing the open kitchen, allowing guests to watch dishes being prepared. In the chef’s own words, it is a modern expression of “gastronomy without ties.”

Prince’s Palace Of Monaco
Prince’s Palace of Monaco is the official residence of the Grimaldi family, rulers of Monaco, and one of the principality’s most important historic landmarks. Perched on a hill overlooking the sea, the palace dates back to the 13th century. Originally built as a Genoese fortress, it evolved into its present form under the Grimaldi family over centuries. As a result, the structure carries both fortress and palace characteristics. While its exterior resembles a military stronghold, the interiors — defined by Italian Renaissance frescoes, gilded halls and grand marble staircases — evoke the atmosphere of a classic French palace. The Carabiniers du Prince changing of the guard ceremony, held daily at 11:55 a.m. outside the palace, remains one of Monaco’s most popular attractions. During summer months, when the palace opens to the public, joining a guided tour is highly recommended.
