Last August, Christian Levett, one of Europe’s leading art collectors, opened the world-first Museum of Women Artists of Mougins (Femmes Artistes du Musée de Mougins) in Cannes, France. This landmark institution is Europe’s first major museum dedicated entirely to women’s art. Spanning four stories, the museum houses an impressive collection of nearly 100 works by 90 internationally renowned women artists.

Featured pieces include works by Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Eva Gonzalès, Blanche Hoschedé-Monet, Louise Nevelson, Barbara Hepworth, Frida Kahlo, Leonor Fini, Maria Helena Vieira Da Silva, Louise Bourgeois, Joan Mitchell, Marina Abramović, and Marlene Dumas, among others.
