Oris introduces the new ProPilot x Miss Piggy Edition with a hot pink dial.
Those of you who remember the Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition introduced a few years ago will recall its striking dial and the Kermit figure that appeared on the first day of each month in the date window at the 6 o’clock position. This fun and unique watch quickly became one of the most popular models of recent years. Now, it’s time for another Muppet character: Miss Piggy. Oris CEO Rolf Studer says they are thrilled to be working with the world’s most fabulous pig. Studer, who also expressed optimism for the future, reminds us that life is too short not to dream big and have fun.
The new ProPilot X Miss Piggy model comes in a 34mm stainless steel case. The most eye-catching feature of the watch is the vibrant pink dial. At 12 o’clock, there is a specially cut diamond index developed in the laboratory. This warm pink hue and diamond detail pay tribute to Miss Piggy’s love for colors and sparkle.
As with the Kermit model, the Miss Piggy figure does not appear on the dial itself. Instead, Miss Piggy is seen through a small window on the case back, on the lilac-colored rotor. As the rotor spins, the Miss Piggy figure appears and disappears.
The ProPilot X Miss Piggy is powered by the Oris caliber 531, based on the Sellita SW100, offering a 42-hour power reserve. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters.
