Tell us a little bit about the heritage of Roger Dubuis.

Our Maison was founded 31 years ago by master watchmaker Roger Dubuis and entrepreneur Carlos Dias. The vision of the Founders was “to create timepieces that cannot be found anywhere else” and to do so they set two strong identity pillars: expressivity -meaning distinctive aesthetics for our designs, illustrated by creativity in the shape of our cases, the biretrograde display on the dial, the skeleton, the reinterpretation of legends… Since 2001, this vision has been supported by our integrated manufacture in which designers, engineers, and watchmakers work together to bring our timepieces to life.

How would you describe the DNA of Roger Dubuis in three words?

Geneva, expressive, high watchmaking.

In Conversation with Antoine Hastoy: The Roger Dubuis Vision

How does Roger Dubuis interpret these industry trends while maintaining its distinctive identity rooted in bold design and high watchmaking?

I think that, at Roger Dubuis, we first and foremost tell horological stories that are aligned with our DNA – this expressivity and high watchmaking I mentioned earlier – and leveraged it by new know-how acquired with time, new materials we discover, new legends we decide to explore.
