Who wouldn’t want to look at a Monet painting even for hours? Of course, this is possible in an auction house, yet don’t feel despair because Sotheby’s brings Monet painting to your house.
As a part of “Modern & Contemporary Evening Auction”, 5 early works of Claude Monet will be auctioned on March 2. It is estimated that the total sales price of these works will reach $50 million.
Experts consider these works, which are found to belong to the period before “Water Lilies” painting, as very rare pieces. Only “Les Demoiselles de Giverny” is expected to find buyers between 10-20 million pounds, whilst Falaise près de Dieppe, soleil couchant is expected to bring the lowest figure with 3.5 – 5 million pounds.
The paintings can be seen in Sotheby’s New York, Hong Kong, Taipei, and London galleries before the auction to be held on March 2.
