Bulgari dropped a new Octo Finissimo in collaboration with auction house Phillips.
This year, Bulgari Octo Finissimo series celebrated its 10th anniversary by breaking record 7 times in the category of thin watches until 2022. In March 2022, the brand announced the Octo Finissimo Ultra, thinnest watch of the world in 1.80 mm height, at Pantheon, the famous square of Rome. On the other hand, Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra 10th Anniversary model won the Brave Watch of the Year at the 2022 GPHG Awards. Nowadays, the brand presents another Octo Finissimo watch: Octo Finissimo Special Edition Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo.
The Octo Finissimo Special Edition Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo is a limited edition of 50 pieces in which Italian style meets Swiss watchmaking expertise. Designed with plain and modern touches, the geometric lines of this Octo Finissimo pay homage to Bulgari’s Rome spirit and the great Italian architects of the last century. Made of titanium 40 mm diameter case is paired with round bezel. The dial is plain and vintage-inspired, even small seconds counter at 7 o’clock, which can be seen other Octo model, is not present in this new watch. The dial features only the hour and minute hands.

While Octo design represent an iconic signature, the creative process by Aurel Bacs and Alexandre Ghotbi increased our passion and inspiration tenfold. The timepiece symbolizes the link between Phillips and design code of Bulgari, which is focused on innovation and the future.
Aurel Bacs, Senior Advisor at Bacs & Russo, and Alexandre Ghotbi, Head of the Watch Unit for Europe and the Middle East, state that they wanted to create a symmetry but also to refer to Bulgari’s Italian roots. That’s why the small seconds counter was removed, and they aimed to draw attention to the engraved dial with large numerals and a ring that changes color from black to gray or bronze depending on the light.
At the heart of the Octo Finissimo Special Edition Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo is the caliber BVL 138. The watch has a power reserve of 60 hours and is water resistant up to 3 bars.
