Riva’s Dolce Vita spirit, born on the water, lives on today in Lounges, Privées and Private Decks along some of the world’s most beautiful shores.

Riva’s story began in 1842 in Sarnico, on the shores of Lake Iseo. Yet the image of Riva that still lives most vividly in our minds was largely shaped in the 1950s by Carlo Riva. He transformed the boat from a mere means of transport or a performance machine into an object of style. Varnished mahogany, chrome details, dashboards reminiscent of classic automobiles and perfectly balanced proportions came together with the elegance of post-war Italy. Ariston, Tritone and Florida were followed by the Aquarama in 1962, and Riva became a symbol of a distinctly Mediterranean way of life.

That is why, when we think of Riva, we remember far more than boats. Film scenes, jet-set photographs, summers on the Côte d’Azur, Lake Como, dark sunglasses, hotel terraces and long afternoons all form part of the picture. Images of stars such as Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor and Jean-Paul Belmondo aboard Rivas helped carry the brand far beyond the world of boating. Over time, the silhouette of the Aquarama became a design icon, while the name Riva itself came to feel almost synonymous with La Dolce Vita at sea.

Seen from that perspective, Riva’s move beyond boats today feels entirely natural. The brand now appears not only in marinas, but also in furniture, accessories, capsule collections and a growing network of Riva Lounges, Privées and Private Decks around the world. The lifestyle once embodied by the deck of an Aquarama now continues on land.

The New Addresses of La Dolce Vita

Riva on Land

The Riva Destinations concept translates the brand’s historic design codes into different settings and geographies. Glossy mahogany, chrome and steel surfaces, aquamarine tones, tables and chairs inspired by the Aquarama all reappear in new forms. Yet this is about more than decoration. Each address carries the atmosphere Riva has represented for decades: slightly nostalgic, quietly aristocratic and, above all, unmistakably Mediterranean. Sometimes it takes shape on the top floor of a yacht club in Monaco, sometimes on a terrace overlooking Venice’s Grand Canal, and sometimes in Göcek, where green hills meet blue water.

MONTE CARLO

Riva Lounge – Yacht Club de Monaco

Located on the top floor of the Sir Norman Foster-designed Yacht Club de Monaco, the Riva Aquarama Lounge looks out across the harbour and the Mediterranean. During the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, it also becomes one of the city’s most animated meeting points, linking Riva’s jet-set heritage with contemporary Monaco.

SARNICO

Riva Lounge – Riva Shipyard

This is where it all began. Set within Riva’s historic shipyard on the shores of Lake Iseo, the Lounge offers perhaps the most direct connection to the brand’s past. Carlo Riva’s office, known as “The Bridge” and cantilevered out over the water, is also here. For anyone wishing to step into the Riva world, its birthplace remains perhaps the most romantic address of all.

VENICE

Riva Lounge – The Gritti Palace

Set on the terrace of The Gritti Palace along the Grand Canal, the Riva Lounge adds its own visual language to Venice’s already cinematic atmosphere. Views towards Santa Maria della Salute are framed by mahogany and aquamarine details, while the Aquariva Super “Il Doge”, moored in front of the hotel, brings the experience back onto the water.

ISCHIA

Riva Privée – Daní Maison

Set in the garden of Daní Maison in Ischia, the Riva Privée brings together gastronomy and the Riva aesthetic. Chef Nino Di Costanzo’s cuisine, local culture and the intimacy of the garden create a calmer, more private interpretation of the Riva world.

PARIS

Riva Privée – Splash Bistrot

Set along the Seine just outside Paris, the Riva Privée at Splash Bistrot is one of the addresses that takes the brand beyond the Mediterranean. Its appeal also extends beyond the table: guests can experience Paris from the water aboard an Aquariva Super available at the venue.

LAKE COMO

Riva Private Deck – Yacht Club Eriolario

Lake Como already occupies a natural place in the Riva imagination. The Private Deck at Yacht Club Eriolario makes that connection even more tangible. Opening directly onto the water, it serves as a meeting point both for Riva owners and for those wishing to experience the brand’s world. Riva boats can also be chartered from here for cruises across the lake.

MALLORCA

Riva Lounge & Privée – Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá

Set in the Mediterranean-facing gardens of Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá, the Riva Lounge and Privée are among the brand’s newer destinations. Materials and furnishings associated with Riva boats are reinterpreted within the space and paired with Mallorca’s relaxed holiday atmosphere. The idea is simple: even while looking out at the sea from land, the feeling of being aboard a Riva remains.

BORGO SANTANDREA

Riva Lounge

Borgo Santandrea on the Amalfi Coast already draws much of its character from the language of 1960s Italian design, which makes its partnership with Riva feel almost instinctive. Local craftsmanship, refined materials and sea-facing terraces bring together two distinct aesthetic legacies rooted in the same era.

GÖCEK

Riva Lounge – Miori, Bedri Rahmi Bay

Riva’s first destination in Türkiye is in Göcek. Opened in the summer of 2025 at Miori in Bedri Rahmi Bay, the Riva Lounge can only be reached by sea, making it perhaps one of the most natural expressions of the concept. The open-air dining area combines glossy mahogany, striped maple, steel and aquamarine tones, while furniture inspired by the Aquarama defines the character of the space.
