The series premiered in 1998 and concluded in 2004. Later on, it spawned two features’ films, Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010). The series examines male-female relations, cosmopolitans city life through friendship of four successful and career women live in Manhattan. With 54 Emmy nominations and 7 Emmy Awards, the series has become one of the cult productions that sheds light on modern women’s life and sometimes even gives clues for real life.

The series is back with a new name: And Just Like That. Furthermore, Jessica Parker has shared the name of the first episode of the new season in her Instagram account: “Hello It’s Me”. And Just Like That will be a 10-episode revival on HBO Max. Filming has started without Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) in the spring. It was not surprise for fans of series because Kim Cattrall has said in various statement that she is not very willing to be part of revival. According to the information about the new season of the series, it seems that a new member will not be added to the famous friend group to fill Samantha’s place, but we think that the screenwriters will not deprive the streets of Manhattan from a flirtatious female character.
In the story of the new season, the relationship between men and women and life will be examined through the friendship of three women in their 50s. As a young colleagues of Carrie, I wondered: How Carrie wrote during the pandemic? Of course, the pandemic will be a part of story.
As the story takes place in New York and in a women group, of course, the fashion is included. The series, which continued for 6 seasons, also became a fashion icon with clothes of each character. However, in the new season, the previous costume designer of the series, Patricia Field, will not be able to dress the women of And Just Like That due to the shooting of Emily in Paris, another Netflix series.
One of the new names is Sara Ramírez, from Gray’s Anatomy. Ramírez will play a podcaster, Che Diaz, who hosts Carrie in her broadcast.
