Maserati unveils Tridente, its all-electric motorboat.
Celebrating its 110th anniversary this year, Italian automobile brand Maserati started its electric vehicle journey last year by introducing its first all-electric car GranTurismo Folgore and its first SUV Grecale Folgore models powered by fully electric powertrains. The brand is also taking to the seas with the recently unveiled Tridente electric motorboat.
The Italian car brand already had a 70-meter trimaran named Multi70. Reflecting the brand’s sleek Italian style, this new boat is 34 meters long and has been developed with a new all-electric motor boat.
Designed for daily cruising on lakes and beaches, Tridente is equipped with two electric motors producing 600 HP and a 252 kWh battery. The boat can travel 43 miles at a cruising speed of 25 knots without the need for recharging. It can also reach a full speed of 40 knots. Passenger capacity is 8 people.
The boat was designed in collaboration with the artisans of Hodgdon Yachts, which has been building yachts and tenders in Maine, USA for over 200 years. Carrying Maserati’s Italian design codes, Tridente attracts the eye at first glance with its rose gold finish. The hull is made of carbon fiber.
Tridente, which has a passenger capacity of 8 people, has a sunbathing cushion at the stern and a swimming area with a ladder leading to the sea. The luxury boat also welcomes its guests in a U-shaped saloon. Below the deck, there is a bathroom connected to the bedroom.
