Mercedes-Benz opens a brand-new page in the segment with the E-Class, which has been setting standards in the middle-class luxury sedan world for more than 75 years. Combining its new electronic architecture, avant-garde design and comprehensive digital equipment, the E-Class offers its users the key to a perfect driving experience, while making its domestic consumers feel privileged with its Turkey-specific engine option.
EDITION 1: THE MEETING POINT OF TECHNOLOGY AND COMFORT
Mercedes Benz, which has a special fan base by combining its innovation in technology with its globally accepted style, strengthens its claim in electric vehicles with the new E-Class. While it raises the bar in its segment with the Edition 1 package (which will go on sale in Europe in the summer of 2023), it also offers privilege to its domestic consumers with the E180 engine option offered specifically for the Turkish market.
The Edition 1 package combines its comprehensive equipment with digital luxury and turns driving pleasure into a completely different experience. The AIRMATIC air suspension system and rear axle steering system offered in the standard package provide the highest level of comfort with a three-dimensional digital instrument panel and heated and ventilated front seats. Burmester® 4D surround sound system turns the vehicle into an entertaining living space.
CHARACTERISTIC DESIGN
The new series, which supports traditional sedan body proportions with an increased wheelbase, has a much longer design than the previous generation E-Class. The profile view of the car reveals the harmonious body proportions thanks to the cabin positioned behind. The characteristic lines on the side facade emphasize the sporty character of the car. The Mercedes-Benz star motif, located on the two-piece LED taillights with a new contour and special design on the rear façade, shows itself at every moment of the day. The fact that the headlights are visible at all hours of the day is also a big plus in terms of safety.
BIG DIFFERENCES WITH SMALL TOUCHES
The power domes on the hood of the car, which offers maximum field of vision, emphasize its sportiness thanks to the DIGITAL LIGHT feature offered as standard. The three-dimensionally designed radiator panel supports its aesthetic line. This sensitivity to the exterior is also achieved in the interior. Undoubtedly, the most striking feature of the design is the MBUX SUPERSCREEN that extends along the front console. Offering a unique digital experience with its large glass surface, MBUX SUPERSCREEN is also a privilege for passengers.
The front part of the instrument panel is illuminated with 64-color ambient lighting. After drawing a wide arc on the front panel, the light strip extends past the A-pillars and up to the doors, strengthening the feeling of spaciousness in the interior. The floating control unit above the door panels matches the appearance of the screens’ glass surfaces.
AN IMPRESSIVE EXPERIENCE
Another feature of the new E-Class is that it appeals to all senses. In this new series, where personalization features have also been developed, everything is smarter thanks to the digital innovations offered in the interior. Thanks to the MBUX feature, all applications are effortlessly at your fingertips. Today’s indispensable navigation makes life easier by combining graphical directions with live traffic information thanks to augmented reality. Another prominent feature, apart from MBUX Navigation, is voice command. The voice command system we are used to with “Hey Mercedes” has become more functional this time when the “Just Talk” feature is activated. In this way, you can give commands and get support from the smart application without wasting time.
Burmester® 4D surround sound system turns listening to music into a physical experience with its superior sound quality. Sound visualization, which will be offered for the first time with the E-Series, allows you to experience music with three senses thanks to 64-color ambient lighting. The optional front passenger screen provides the ability to personalize your journey for passengers as well as the driver.
SPARENESS IS AGAIN IN THE FOREGOING
The E-Class takes its place among the leaders of its class in terms of interior space. However, the new series pushes the limits further this time and has 5 mm more headroom than the previous model. Rear seat passengers benefit from a 2 cm increased wheelbase. In addition to an increase of 10 mm in knee distance and 17 mm in leg distance, there is also a significant increase in rear elbow width of 1,519 mm. It offers almost as much space as an S-Class, with increased distance rates compared to the previous model. The trunk volume is quite large with a capacity of 540 liters.
E 180 ENGINE OPTION SPECIAL FOR TURKISH MARKET
The new series, which was eagerly awaited in Turkey after its world premiere, was offered in the domestic market with two different engine options: gasoline and diesel, E 180 and E 220 d 4MATIC. While offering a sporty driving experience with its rear-wheel drive structure, the E180 has a 170-horsepower internal combustion gasoline engine as well as a 23 horsepower electric motor. The E 220 d 4MATIC version also incorporates advanced engine technologies and draws attention with its high efficiency level. Produced specifically for Turkey, the E180 is offered for sale at prices starting from 4,220,000 TL, while the E 220 d 4MATIC is offered for sale at prices starting from 5,900,000 TL.
