As you remember, IWC had founded its own racing team in 2018. And this year, the IWC Racing Team is back to Goodwood Motor Circuit after two years. To celebrate this comeback, IWC and Hot Wheels release an exclusive “IWC x Hot Wheels Racing Works”. The series feature a 1:64 rendering scaled car and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “IWC x Hot Wheels Racing Works”.
The 1955 Mercedes-Benz “Gullwing” scaled model is one of the rarest and most detailed Hot Wheels models ever produced, so much so that the seats, transparent headlights, racing graphics and raised doors are designed in accordance with the original model. The scaled car comes with an exclusive titanium toolbox.
Of course, this toolbox features another important piece, which is Pilot’s Chronograph Edition “IWC x Hot Wheels Racing Works”. The timepiece features a 43 mm titanium case; it is also water resistance up to 60 meters. The surface of the case is equipped with sapphire crystal glass that is highly resistant to pressure drop. The sporty side of the timepiece appears on the dial: the chequered racing flag pattern is engraved on the dial. In addition to whole these features, the laser-engraved squares on the dial take lighter or deeper appearance depending on the light. The fabric NATO strap takes its colors from the color palette of the iconic automobile. Also, the titanium case bears the iconic Hot Wheels logo.
