Swiss watchmaking grew by nearly 10 percent compared to the previous year in 2022 according to FH reports. On the other hand, anniversaries of brands gave vivid colors to year: Audemars Piguet’s iconic Royal Oak turned 50, Omega celebrated the 60th anniversary of James Bond, Bulgari launched a special series for 10th anniversary of its record-breaking Octo Finissimo, Gucci celebrated its 50th anniversary in high watchmaking, and Richard Mille broke the record for thinnest watch…

As always, collaborations got their piece pf pie, and no doubt that the most sensational was the MoonSwatch, which produced in collaboration between Omega and Swatch. On the one hand, the growth of the second-hand sales continued to increase, and Rolex announced a certification program for second-hand sales. Vacheron Constantin introduced a new 222 model after 45 years later. Of course, sustainability was on the agenda throughout 2022. Metaverse and NFT were also on the agenda of brands such as IWC, Jacob and Co., and Hublot. All in all, haute horology left behind a true productive year.
