Will we see Marvel characters on Audemars Piguetâs cult model Royal Oak? We have to wait to answer until April 10th.
Yesterday, an exciting new has just announced at the Inside AP presentation: Audemars Piguet has collaborated with Marvel. First announcement and special piece will be revealed on April 10th, in LA.
Audemars Piguetâs CEO François-Henry Bennahmias has been thinking about a partnership with Marvel which is known with its characters such as âIron Manâ, âX-Menâ, âAvengersâ, âSpidermanâ, âHulkâ, âThorâ and âCaptain Americaâ . ( When asked him who was his favorite Marvel character, he says that it is Hulk), however project appeared while in a discussion with his long-time friend Don Cheadle who plays Marvel super-hero in âIron Manâ and âAvengersâ. Cheadle has said â No time like present, letâs give a call them,â and he arranged a meeting with Marvel and AP managers in 2017. Cheadle has also participated in presentation as architect of this project. (Robert Downey Jr. âwho plays Iron Man- will be glad to this project because he is known to be an AP Royal Oak fan.)
Audemars Piguetâs CEO François-Henry Bennahmias has said that they partially inspired by Gerald Gentaâs Fantasy watches which are producing for Disney characters like Mickey Mouse at AP presentation.
Audemars Piguet is not first watch collaboration of Marvel: Citizen had produced watches for Marvel characters such as Captain America, Spider Man, Tony Stark.
