Over the course of six years, a new version based on the award-winning watch design of exceptional thickness (2mm), in which 30 designers, 30 micro-mechanical engineers and 30 watchmakers worked on the mechanism, was released, along with small and symbolic innovations. This watch is a special version dedicated to La Côte-aux-Fées, a village at the foot of the Jura Mountains in Switzerland. La Côte-aux-Fées is where Georges Edouard Piaget founded his eponymous watch company in 1874. In 2001, a new Piaget high watchmaking production house was opened in the Plan-les-Ouates area near Geneva, but the design, development and construction of all ultra-thin Piaget mechanisms are being carried out in this village.

A 3235 caliber 36 mm watch with automatic installation has a central Scorpion, a sail and a second hand. Apart from the 100 meters waterproof feature, there is a fast-adjustable date indicator and a “second synchronization” mechanism for precise time setting. The power reserve of the Oystersteel steel case and bracelet watch is 70 hours.

Ref. 413809290 – 38 mm; Ref. 414209290 – 42 mm. This mint green dial watch is signed by Speake-Marin, which brings a British interpretation to Swiss watchmaking. The Next Generation Piccadilly chassis, made of titanium with a black DLC coating, has a diameter of 38 mm with a limited to 10 and 42 mm (pictured) with a limited to 18. 

The second time zone indicator of the watch, which has a small second and retrograde date indicator in the direction of hours, minutes, 13: 30 hours, is in the direction of 9 hours. The watch carries an Eric Giroud-designed micro-rotor automatic mechanism.

Ref. M79018V-0001. Tudor pays homage to the brand’s first diving watches with the Black Bay Fifty-Eight with a greener dial. The dimensions of the watch, which has a striking color composition, were inspired by the diving watches of the first period, produced with a diameter of 39 mm. The Black Bay Fifty-Eight with a yellow gold case features an olive green dial and a crocodile leather strap with a yellow gold buckle. However, a company that makes clothes for the Vatican also offers one of the fabric straps produced at its manufacturing facility in France for free. Designed for vintage enthusiasts with thin wrists and compact watch lovers, The Black Bay Fifty-Eight features a in-house Tudor movement. Finally, there is another feature that is not often seen in a diving watch: the back of the sapphire glass case.

Ref. 32.9008.9004/08.R943. At Watches and Wonders, Zenith announced a new collection, which it called Spectrum, because of the color ranges produced by different wavelengths of visible light. Featuring Zenith’s revolutionary second chronograph mechanism, the clock features the El Primero 21, which can measure one percent of a second and operates at vibration speeds as high as 50 Hz (360,000 per hour). One of the five models of the 44 mm steel-cased watch, representing five different spectrum frequencies, is a green-dial watch. Rarer than the emerald, 44 baguettes are decorated with 288 diamonds, decorated with cut tsavorite stone.
