We are examining Omega’s new watches and new strap Velcro which were introduced in the global launch on March 23th.

Yesterday ( March 23), Omega has introduced its new watches in a digital global launch. Even though digital launches are not substitute for physical launches, we can say that rules and conditions are falling into place step by step. Launch started with the presentation of Omega’s CEO Raynald Aeschlimann: “ We have not stopped even in this tough year; it is against our nature, we have worked twice as hard as ever.”

We felt like that we were in Biel during presentation which new watches were introduced from past to present of brand by CEO and also Jean-Claude Monachon (VP and Head of Product Development), Gregory Kissling ( Head of Product Management) and Petros Protopappa (Brand Heritage Manager).  

Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Master Chronometer, the first watch of year, was announced at the beginning of year. As 2021 novelties, 5 models belonging to four series (Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster, DeVille) were announced yesterday, all these watches are Master Chronometer certified which a test system belonging to the brand. Highlight of these watches is that they are inspired by historical references and focused on material development: A bronze gold, a new alloy, was announced after announcements of Sedna gold (2016), Moonshine gold (2019) and Canopus gold (2021). Jean-Claude Moncahon, VP and Head of Product Development, explains; “all watches are more feminine and thinner and all bezels, crowns, indexes, hands, claps and straps were renewed.”
