Basel is preparing to host a new trade fair years after the end of Baselworld. Announced for April 2027, the new Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair has already become a topic of considerable interest across the watch and jewellery industries.

One of the most established events in the watchmaking world, Baselworld closed its doors in 2019. Since then, Basel has not hosted a major watch fair. Seven years later, the industry is set to return to the Swiss city with the launch of a new watch and jewellery exhibition. Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair will open its doors in April 2027 at Hall 2 of Messe Basel.

The fair is being organized through a collaboration between Informa Markets and MCH Group, the company behind Baselworld. Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair aims to serve as an intercontinental platform connecting the Asian and European watch and jewellery industries. According to the event’s official website, Basilia is conceived as a thematic city composed of districts, hubs, and squares. Each area is designed to reflect the energy, craftsmanship, and cultural character of leading jewellery and watchmaking regions from around the world.
