New BMW 7 Series Sedan on the road.
“Designing by Contemporary Art”
The new BMW 7 Series Sedan is ahead od the time -or as BMW calls it, “Ahead of the Future”-, let’s explore the this new series with its design: the cars in the series has monolithic surface design and Iconic Glow Crystal headlamps with Swarovski crystals, which adds powerful and a distinctive look to design. Compared to the previous generation, the dimensions increase and the silhouette seems to move forward from the side profile, making the car look bigger and more imposing. The new BMW 7 Series Sedan has reduced wind resistance thanks to the door handles integrated into the body, and for the first time, it can also be personalized in two different color tones as part of BMW Individual.
At a glance, the elegance of the new series is immediately apparent with the lines parallel to the ground and the tapered rear LED lighting clusters extending down the sides of the car. When viewed from the rear, the chrome strips integrated into the lighting units shine like glass, giving the BMW 7 Series Sedan a different look, which is timeless.
“Reinterpreting Customized Luxury Mobility”
In recent years, comfort has become increasingly a must-have term in life, not only in home but also in cars. The new BMW 7 Series Sedan expands the comfort space for both driver and passengers with heating, ventilation and nine programmed massage functions in seats with an increased seating surface compared to the previous generation.
Comfort is not only about traveling in comfortable and spacious seats, but also about being able to do whatever we want with our fingertips and a single “click”. With fewer buttons and controls than the previous model, the digitalization brought by the BMW Curved Screen is another detail that increases comfort and practicality in the cabin. The 12.3-inch instrument display and 14.9-inch control screen behind the steering wheel take the driving experience to the next level.
And the cabin… The steering wheel and center console also get a new design. Another new feature in the cabin is the BMW Interaction Bar, a new type of control and design element that complements the luxury side of the car. Featuring a crystal surface, the BMW Interaction Bar can be customized according to the ambient lighting selected. The bar takes the interaction between driver and car to the next level. Once again, “ahead of the future”.
The New BMW 740d xDrive, one of the versions of the New 7 Series Sedan we explored, stands out with its mild hybrid-diesel engine option. (The new series is presented with “The Power of Choice” approach, BMW’s global sustainability strategy, which gives users the flexibility to choose the engine type they want.) Car enthusiasts are waiting to get behind the wheel of this new BMW car to go “ahead of the future”.
Mild Hybrid-Diesel Engine The 3-liter, 6-cylinder diesel unit produces 300 horsepower and 670 Nm of torque. The electric motor, which works in support of the internal combustion engine, generates 18 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque, supporting the vehicle in its first movement and maximizing fuel consumption. Thus, the new BMW 740d xDrive attracts attention with a fuel consumption value between 6.1 and 6.8 liters per 100 km.
