Cartier becomes the main sponsor of the Venice International Film Festival to be held from September 1-11.
Is Paris still the capital of the fashion world? With presenting many luxury collections in Venice, people have questioning whether the city is becoming the new capital of fashion world. It seems like Italy is increasingly becoming one of the favorite centers of fashion shows, like New York, Milan, and London, thanks to its geographical and cultural appeal. Now, the French jewelry house Cartier has announced that it become main sponsor of the Venice Film Festival.
Cartier has partnered with La Biennale di Venezia to become main sponsor of the Venice International Film Festival. The mission of this partnership aims to honor remarkable filmmakers with Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award. The award will find its owner at the Venice Film Festival between 1-11 September. It is expected that the award winner is also in line with Cartier’s mission to preserve cultural heritage and support artistic creativity.
“We are thrilled to become main sponsor of the Venice International Film Festival and reaffirm the long-standing commitment to preserve cultural heritage and to support contemporary artistic creation, it is also a true honor to be able to pay tribute to internationally renowned filmmakers through the Cartier Glory to the Filmmaker Award,” said Arnaud Carrez, Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer at Cartier.
On the other hand, the festival has announced the film selection. “Parallel Mothers” will be opening film of the festival. Besides, Horizon Extra will be an extension of Venice’s competitive Horizons section. The movies in Venice Classic section will announce in the following days.
