Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Black Black, which recently introduced, has already reached the pinnacle of using black ceramic in watchmaking.
While the idea of a deep black watch sounds great, it is not easy to produce legible dial in these kind of watches (especially, if they are dive watches). This is the first detail that can be indicated as a success in the model which Omega emphasis as “Black Black”: Even though whole watch is black ,including skeleton hands and indexes, it is still legible.
We have stated that materials stand out in launch of brand. First of all, we should mention material of 43.5 mm polished-brushed Seamaster Diver 300M Black Black. Black ceramic, which is very hard to process but has a high resistance to scratch, comes again after Co-Axial Chronograph Dark Side of the Moon (2013) and the Seamaster 300M Black Ceramic & Titanium (2019) models. This time, however the brand has carried black ceramic, that is zirconium oxide, which is also written on dial, even further; brand made its normal white color black by adding iron and has been laser-ablated in order to prevent fingerprints on ceramic (the most common problem).
By the way, crown, helium relief valve and strap buckle were also produced with black ceramic rather than PVD coating which usually used. Iconic waves , wordings, minute tracks and logo have been laser-ablated. Super-LumiNova is again in anthracite tone in the new version of Diver 300M, which used as an indispensable feature in dive watches to provide visibility under the water and at nights. This also provides a tonal transition from black to dark gray.
Model is delivered with a 5-year warranty which has Master Chronometer certified and automatic Caliber 8806. It is enough to turn it around in order to see light in the watch: You can see sapphire glass mechanism at the case-back.
