Blancpain adds a new model to Bathyscaphe series with a ceramic bracelet and complete calendar.
The world’s oldest watch brand Blancpain has added three new models to its diving series Bathyscaphe. Designed with ceramic bracelets, the version with a complete calendar is now the most striking model.
All three timepieces that added to the series are presented in a 43.6 mm diameter black ceramic case with ceramic bracelets. The Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet de Lune with complete calendar is designed with a dark blue dial with a daylight brush. At 12 o’clock, the dial displays the day of the week and the moon, while at 6 o’clock, Blancpain’s iconic moon phase indicator appears.
The ceramic used in the series is about five times harder than stainless steel and four times harder than grade five titanium, but 25 percent lighter. The watches come with 300m of water resistance.
The complete calendar version, the Bathyscaphe Quantième Complet de Lune, powered by movement 6654.P4, has a 72-hour power reserve. The Bathyscaphe Automatic houses caliber 1315 and the Bathyscaphe Automatic houses caliber F385.
