Girard-Perregaux announced Laureato Absolute Light & Shade and Absolute Light & Fire, new models designed with a sapphire crystal case.
Knowns for its sporty and aesthetic designs, Girard-Perregaux took steps to prove its craftsmanship in producing aesthetic-looking metal watches by combining its Laureato -one of the main collections of the brand- with different materials and dial colors last year. And nowadays, the brand announced Laureato Absolute Light & Shade and Absolute Light & Fire in a eye-catching luminosity.
Both models are in metalized sapphire crystal and both are dynamic, bright and eye-catching. Yet, the difference of these two models that is the Absolute Light & Fire is a limited edition which features 18 pieces produced for the Chinese New Year. The case of the watches in the Light & Fire series is made of a cherry-red polycrystalline material called YAG, which resembles a sapphire crystal and gives the watch its striking color. The color, chosen to honor the Chinese New Year, represent energy, vitality, and abundance.
The watches come in 44-mm sapphire crystal case. The luminous and transparent cases offer a luminous appearance, whilst the skeletonized dial extends into a contrasting dark depth towards the center of the watch. The open caseback displays the caliber FP01800-1143 through “traits-tiré” (long stripes), circular finishes and hand-polished bridges and the architecture of the main plate. The models have a power reserve of 54 hours.
The black rubber strap integrated into the titanium lugs creates a fabric effect to complete the aesthetic look of the watch. Both models will be available at Girard-Perregaux stores by April.
