Recently, the most striking collaboration in haute horology came from Girard Perregaux and Saint Laurent. The duo re-created Perregaux’s iconic Casquette watch.
Girard Perregaux’s Casquette was introduced in the 1970s as groundbreaking, innovative and unorthodox. And nowadays, a new Girard Perregaux watch has been announced that can be written with same words and also avant-garde. As one of the oldest brands in haute horology, Girard Perregaux’s new watch Casquette 2.0 Saint-Laurent 01 is a game-changer and avantgarde model since it was designed in collaboration with Saint Laurent.
Designed by Saint Laurent’s fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello, the Casquette 2.0 Saint Laurent is an elegant digital watch in entirely black ceramic case and black PVD. Inspired by Girard Perregaux’s Casquette model from the 70s, Casquette 2.0 Saint-Laurent 01’s watch dial is designed like a box. The digital watch’s LED display of the time is not placed on the top surface, but on the surface where the box-shaped dial is connected to the strap.
Limited to 100 pieces, the Casquette 2.0 Saint-Laurent 01 will be available at Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles, as well as in select countries and online via the Saint Laurent Rive Droite store.
