The legendary British artist David Bowie, who passed away at the age of 69, is preparing to take place in the V&A East Storehouse section of the Victoria and Albert Museum, which will open in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2025 as The David Bowie Centre for the Study of Performing Arts, with a collection of 80 thousand pieces consisting of his costumes, albums, lyrics, letters and videos.
The collection also promises a magical travel to Bowie’s past and how he wrote his songs through every piece that will be exhibited. Also, the collection includes Bowie’s instrument that called as “stylophone” which is used in “Space Oddity”, his costumes by Kansai Yamamoto that he worn during his Aladdin Sane tour, and his another costume by Alexander McQueen seen on cover of Earthling album.
Besides collection offers Bowie’s notebooks from every period of his life, and it is a permanent collection that can be visited completely free of charge.
