Aston Martin Laureato Absolute Chronograph

Girard-Perragaux, the official watch partner of Aston Martin since 2021, announced the Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Edition as its third watch produced together with the British automobile brand.

In 2016 Girard-Perragaux modernized the Laureato model, which was first launched in 1975, and placed this collection at the center of its production, of course with several innovations. Now, the updated Laureato watches are one of the main collections of the brand with their octagonal bezel placed on a circular circle and sporty look. Furthermore, the brand opened a new door in haute horology with the Laureato Absolute Chronograph and Laureato Rock models, which are designed by using a patented innovative material called carbon glass in the past years. As a pushing-limits brands, Girard-Perragaux continues its claim with the Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Edition produced in collaboration with Aston Martin.

The case is produced by titanium and resin, as well as carbon components taking from Aston Martin racing cars that competed in the 2021 season. The sportif case is in 44 mm with 15.15 mm height. Despite being a bold case with a diameter of 44 mm, it is a light watch thanks to the alloy of carbon and titanium materials. The use of carbon components taken from a car with titanium in the case of a watch is a first in the industry. The rubber strap is also made of a mixture of carbon components from Aston Martin cars and FKM rubber, aka fluorocarbon rubber which is a material that s highly resistant to heat and chemicals.

The crosshatch motifs of dial, designed in green, refer to the “AM” emblem used by Aston Martin cars in 1921. The iconic yellow of the Aston Martin F1 reflected to central seconds hand which are designed in yellow.

The timepiece houses in-house automatic caliber GP03300-1058. The working of the movement can be seen through the open sapphire crystal case back. The watch comes with a power reserve of 46-hours. It is water resistance to 100 meters.

The Laureato Absolute Chronograph Aston Martin F1 Edition is limited to 306 pieces. The 306 timepieces represent the 306 kilometers of upcoming the 2022 British Grand Prix.
