As a part of âModern & Contemporary Evening Auctionâ, 5 early works of Claude Monet will be auctioned on March 2. It is estimated that the total sales price of these works will reach $50 million.
Experts consider these works, which are found to belong to the period before âWater Liliesâ painting, as very rare pieces. Only âLes Demoiselles de Givernyâ is expected to find buyers between 10-20 million pounds, whilst Falaise prĂšs de Dieppe, soleil couchant is expected to bring the lowest figure with 3.5 â 5 million pounds.
The paintings can be seen in Sothebyâs New York, Hong Kong, Taipei, and London galleries before the auction to be held on March 2.
