After the New York and Hong Kong legs of the international art fair Art Basel, which gathers many artists / galleries, collectors and art lovers, the Basel leg of the fair has also announced the date that it will physically open between September 20-26. The fair will be held in abidance of Covid-19 measures. The VIP preview will open its doors September 21 to 23. The online edition of the fair, “OVR: Portals” will meet with lover of art on June 16 TO 19.
As part of the measures, the number of visitors to the fair will be reduced by 20% compared to previous years, and one-third fewer tickets will be sold to balance the number of daily entries.
In addition, as in the New York and Hong Kong legs of the fair, the visitors must either have Covid-19 vaccine or have negative test result of Covid-19 to visit the fair.
The most significant difference at the fair is that although the gallery contibuters can be participated the fair physically, if they wish, they can promote their works by providing remote access to the stands, which set up by Art Basel employees. The participant list of the fair will be announced in July.
