Louis Vuitton’s the ePub version of Cities on Earth is available for download at no cost during the Rencontres de la Photographie festival in Arles.
Since 1998, Louis Vuitton City Guides, which are inspired by the nomadic spirit of the brand, include the most interesting places to visit for different world cities and extremely impressive views from cities that are worth to see. To date, Louis Vuitton has published catalogue of 30 cities in print version. Also, the Maison released the Louis Vuitton City Guide App last year. Thus, catalogue of 30 cities is available in both digital and print version.
Each City Guide features the most exclusive views of the city. Besides the views from the cities, these guides include essential lists that give ideas about the cities. For instance, Ottoman art expert Serdar Gülgün contributed to the content of The Istanbul City Guide, whilst the photos were taken by Thierry Ardouin. The cover of The Istanbul City Guide is lilac, the color of the city. Among the essentials for the 24 hours in Istanbul, there are options such as tasting the delicacies in the city’s local markets and shopping in ancient shops. You can visit the brand’s website in order to see 30 cities from Amsterdam to Venice, and you can download the app or shop the printed version, if desired.
This summer, to celebrate the launch of Louis Vuitton’s new edition of its Arles City Guide in association with the Rencontres de la Photographie festival in Arles, the ePub version of Cities on Earth is available for download without cost during the festival. For this book, since 2012, 14 photographers from Tendance Floue collective have explored the length and breadth of 30 great cities, through 55 trips, capturing approximately 4,000 images that profile archetypal metropolises in all their contemporary variety and complexity. The book consists of 225 frames that captured in the atmospheres of nine cities, including Paris, Shanghai, New York, Tokyo and Rome.
You can see the outlines of the cities through the pages of Cities on Earth, which invites you a poetic tour in metropolises. The book cover is designed in blue, green, and pink; however, the colors are assigned randomly for each order.
