A Peninsula Hotel in Istanbul

A Peninsula hotel located on the shores of the Bosphours, within renovated historical buildings… The Peninsula Hotels’ first hotel in Turkey is getting ready to open its doors on February 14th.

As one of the most luxurious hotels of world, The Peninsula Hotels is preparing to open the doors of its first address in Turkey, The Peninsula Istanbul. Set along the dazzling Bosphorus waterfront in the historic district of Karaköy, The Peninsula Istanbul provides a showcase for vibrant Turkish culture. The hotel is comprised of four exquisite buildings -three of them historic and beautifully restored- and welcomes guests arriving by land or sea.

“As a long-term investor, we spend many years selecting the best location for a Peninsula hotel. Istanbul is a dynamic multicultural city with thousands of years of history and culture, combined with a youthful and vibrant energy. We have spent a lot of time and effort to meticulously restore this beautiful property on the Bosphorus and we look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike to experience our world-renowned Peninsula hospitality,” said Clement Kwok, Managing Director and CEO of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels.

Opening its doors on February 14, The Peninsula Istanbul will welcome its guests with a total of 177 rooms and several accommodation alternatives. It seems that the most enjoyable part of the guest will be the Bosphorus view from the large windows of the rooms. Big balconies, private terraces, large gardens, an outdoor swimming poll, the hotel’s private port, luxury boutiques, restaurants and bars into the bargain. The 510-square meter Peninsula Suite will be star of the hotel with its private hammam, gym and swimming pool on the suite’s own terrace.

The elegant ballroom, which can accommodate 820 guests for dinner parties and 1,300 guests for cocktail parties with a terrace, the private dinning and wine tasting venue and flowery gardens set along the Bosphorus are among the most elegant details of the hotel.

When it comes to restaurants, the kitchen offers a sophisticated Turkish – Asian cuisine and drinks menu. The restaurant features a rooftop terrace with view of the Bosphorus and the hotel’s gardens as well as main dining room that decorated in both Asian and Turkish style. All we are already looking forward to experiencing the Asian influences that The Peninsula will bring to the Bosphorus.
