H. Moser & Cie. announced Endeavour Centre Seconds Genesis, a new watch that combines physical, digital and virtual dimensions.
While we were interviewing with Edouard Meylan, CEO of Moser & Cie. a few weeks ago, he mentioned that as a brand, they care about combing tradition and advanced technology, and each Moser watch feature both deep-rooted traditions and technology. When the brand announced Endeavour Centre Seconds Genesis, immediately I recalled words of Meylan in interview, because this model is a unique Moser watch that combines the physical, digital and virtual worlds.
Genesis a hybrid watch limited to 50 pieces. The model comes with a special Moser metaverse that offering watch enthusiast a new definition of customer service. Accessible via a QR code on the dial, the metaverse allows you to see the history of brand, invitation of Moser’s launches and being an exclusive member of the Moser committee. Furthermore, watch enthusiasts can also meet with Moser’s team through this virtual environment.
As one of the first independent watch brands to launch e-commerce and CPO in 2020, Moser places emphasis on advanced technology and Meylan states that they are at the dawn of a new ear of technology. It is important for Moser to play an active role in this still completely unexplored virtual world, even if they take risks by opening its doors.
The timepiece also includes blockchain system which is ran by Aura Blockcahin Consortium. With Aura SaaS, watch owners have access to many transactions and applications like certification and warranty. Designed like a modern and minimalist Swiss chalet, Genesis has references to iconic aspects of both the brand and Switzerland. The design evoking the Rhine River in which a manufacture factory of the brand is located, is one of those symbols. The 3-dimensional crown and bezel are designed with pixilated look, and very harmonious with 40 mm diameter microvlocked case. The dial is engraved with Vantablack, the darkest material in the world.
The Endeavour Centre Seconds Genesis is the first watch in a three-piece series. The owners of this limited-edition watch will be priority customers for the other watches to be produced in the series. We are eagerly waiting to see the upcoming variations of the series.
