Tudor is launching the Black Bay Ceramic model, which is an extraordinary watch with its matt black ceramic case.
Since it was introduced in 2012, the Black Bay series has been in lives of many people, from heroes to everyday women and men with more than dozens variations. A new member is added to this family with Black Bay Ceramic introduced at global launch of the brand, today.
The aesthetic of Black Bay Ceramic is a combination of references to the heritage of heritage of Black Bay series with brand’s technical expertise. The 41 mm matte black monoblock ceramic case has bevelled edges and sand-blasted surfaces. The only contrast of watch is its mirror-polish, whilst it is finished with very pronounced lines. The rotatable bezel is also in black ceramic with a sunray satin finish.
The only contrast of this watch is that its hour markers with applied Super-LumiNova, which are one of the symbols from Tudor diving watches since 1969.
The timepiece has hybrid leather and rubber strap, black of course, with “Snowflake” motif on the inside. Furthermore, has a black fabric strap with cream band.
Black Bay ceramic is equipped with the in-house caliber MT5602-1U. Caliber MT5602-1U has the finish typical of other in-house movements of the brand, but it is produced entirely in black in line with general appearance of the watch. Rotor of timepiece is in black tungsten monobloc is openwork and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details.
Another distinctive features of the Black Bay Ceramic is that it has power reserve of the MT5602-1U Calibre is “weekend-proof”; in other words, it has been certified for 70 hours by METAS. Thanks to this calibre, the wearer can take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to wind it. The watch has the timekeeping accuracy of 15,000 gauss as well as chronometric feature. It has also waterproof to 200 m.
