Introducing its new tool Project Starline at the I / O event, Google brings the person you are talking to is right there in the same room with a shading algorithm developed by itself.
The algorithm models participants in 3D, adds shadows to this modeling and increases reality thanks to its high-resolution large screens and cameras; the conclusion is that a hologram-like video chatting.
These cameras have also some skills that they can capture participants’ backgrounds and position them as if they were in the same room. The project, which pushes the limits of reality, is not suitable for home use for now, but aims to be indispensable for online meetings soon.
