A Collaboration with Bovet 1822

Two great luxury Houses are coming together for Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, and the craftsmen of Bovet 1822 put their toe in the water to redesign the dashboard, Rolls-Royce’s iconic centerpiece. The conclusion is an accomplishment never before seen in either industry: Two reversable watch, one for the gentleman and one for the lady, have been designed to worn on the wrist, or placed on the dashboard. An Azure Blue Bonnet

The hue of the car, with an overt nautical connotation, is subtle when in shadow but in sunlight, it brings a vibrant and energetic aura to the finish. The interior design has tone transitions; the front seats are in the darker blue hue, while the rear seats are in the lighter tone.

Montblanc pens are placed in an exclusive case made of leather and aluminum, placed in the glove box of the car.

The most prominent feature of the Boat Tail, by all odds, its never-before-seen hosting suit on aft deck: Pushing a bottom, a hosting suit appears, the chest inside is equipped to provide a dining experience. A mini cooler is designed to the owners’ favorite champagne, dinnerware, folding chairs and tables, and a large sun umbrella in line with the color of the car for sunny days are some of the pieces in this hosting suit. The mechanism that reveals the hosting suit is one of the remarkable features of the car; hinged towards the centre line, the synchronised balletic opening movement reveals a treasure chest of moving parts that offer themselves to the host at a precise angle of 15 degrees.

Electronic process, of course, was required for the hosting suite on the aft deck. After nine months of intensive development, it was possible to open the rear deck lids to an appropriate angle of 67 degrees, to have an extremely secure locking mechanism, and to integrate a full climate control system into the rear hospitality suite to protect the entire kitchen in the car.

For the sound system of the Boat Tail, Rolls-Royce’s classic 15-speaker sound system was used, but a more powerful system was obtained by using entire floor structure in Boat Tail.

Designed to be driven, Boat Tail was released by passing dynamic tests, like all other Rolls-Royce cars. Since the rear hosting suit is well integrated into the vehicle, the automobile is very silent under power. Considering the ultra-luxury features of the new bespoke Boat Tail, inspired by the Rolls-Royce Sweptail – $13 million- produced in 2017, it is not surprising that it is the most expensive car in the history.
