The famous work Tensions Calmées (1937) by Wassily Kandinsky, who is the creator of abstract paintings, goes into auction for its new home after completing its mission in the homes of famous businessmen.
The painting will be included in the auction during Sotheby’s Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale on June 29; its estimated price is around USD 25-35 million.
The oil painting on canvas, planned to be exhibited in Dubai, Taipei, and Hong Kong respectively before going to London, is one of a group of abstract paintings that created by the Russian painter whilst exploring the power and meaning of color in Paris in 1930s.
