Breitling celebrates its 140th anniversary with the new Calibre B19.
Founded by watchmaker Léon Breitling in 1884, Breitling celebrates its 140th anniversary this year. During the Geneva Watch Days, the brand announced three new model from the Premier, Navitimer and Chronomat collections to celebrate its 140th anniversary. New models house new movement, Caliber B19.
The CEO of Breitling, Georges Kern states that the Primier, Navitimer and Chronomat series are pillar collections in Breitling history, therefore brand prefer to introduce the new caliber in these collections.
The new calibre B19 offers a 96-hour power reserve. A full calendar function with automatic correction for leap years and a moon phase are among the functions of the new movement. The COSC-certified movement can be seen on case back.
Premier B19 Datora 42 140th Anniversary
This anniversary model of the Premier, which joined the brand’s collections in 1943, is designed with the series’ iconic Arabic numerals and square-cornered buttons. Red gold case, 42 mm in diameter. Water resistant to 100 meters.
Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary
Developed in 1952 for a pilot and flying association, the new 140th anniversary edition of the Navitimer features a gold-tone dial with a sunray finish. The brand’s iconic pilot’s watch comes in a 43 mm diameter rose gold case.
Super Chronomat B19 44 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary
The third watch is the Super Chronomat B19 44 Perpetual Calendar 140th Anniversary model from the Chronomat family, which is introduced in 1983. With its skeleton dial, remarkable rotating bezel in black color, and details such as the crown, the model appears as a bulky watch with a diameter of 44 mm.
