The Rings of Power series, adapted from JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings series, is getting ready to meet the audience on Amazon Prime on September 2. Few days before the start of the series, we are opening this new door to Middle-earth.

Amazon announced in 2017 that it had acquired the global rights to the television adaptation of Lord of the Rings for $250 million. After five years, the network is preparing to introduce its new series Rings of Power, which was born from the most profitable and cult Lord of the Rings universe of all time to the audience on September 2. Set hundreds of years before Lord of the Rings, the series is set to break records as the most expensive TV series ever shot, with a cost of over $1 billion. Lindsey Weber, one of the executive producers of the series, says that those who watch Rings of Power will see a production worth this money on the screen.

The Lord of the Rings series will take place during the Second Age and will cover events such as the rise and defeat of the Dark Lord Sauron, the epic story of NĂșmenor, the final alliance of Elves and humans, and how the rings in the series came to be. This epic drama will tell the story of an age when great powers were established, kingdoms that rose to glory crumbled, and hopes tied to thin threads were pursued. The series, which will include both familiar and new characters from The Lord of the Rings, tells Vanity Fair that a young and angry Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) survives on a raft in the Sundering Seas with a mortal character Halbrand (Charlie Vickers). will open up by fighting. These two heroes are after those involved in the murder of Galadriel’s brother. Halbard, a fugitive trying to break free from his past, is a new character that we haven’t seen before in The Lord of the Rings series and is newly written for the series. The first episode to air on Amazon Prime on September 2 is called “Shadow of the Past”.

According to IndependentTurkish‘s report, JA Bayona, one of the producers of the series, says the following about the series in an interview: “Tolkien wrote a story about a little man’s success and hope. We always felt it was the number one rule that there should be genuine optimism and love, even in the darkest, scariest moments of the show.”
