Discover highlights of Watches and Wonders 2024.
The world’s biggest watchmaking show Watches and Wonders 2024 hold in Palexpo in Geneva, April 9-15. Just like the previous edition, Watches and Wonders open to the public on its last days and attracted attention from the watch world. This year, there 54 participant brands.
Rolex and Tudor introduced new models in yellow gold cases, Patek Philippe dropped a Nautilus with denim strap. On the other hand, Vacheron Constantin introduced world’s most complicated watch The Berkley Grand Complication. And IWC Portugieser Eternal Calendar came up with 45-million-year moon phase display. And there were many other eye-catching timepieces.
Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Alarm Travel Time 5520RG
The Calatrava Pilot Travel Time 5520RG is one of the most standout novelties of Patek Philippe. In 42.4 mm rose gold case, the watch comes with alarm function.
Hublot Big Bang MP-11 Water Blue Sapphire
Known for fusion art, Hublot come with a model in ice blue sapphire for the first time this year. Ice blue case in 45 mm is accompanied by a blue dial with a power reserve indicator and movement.
Tag Heuer Carrera Skipper Chronograph
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Carrera collection in 2023, Tag Heuer has this year expanded the Carrera Skipper line with a gold version. Inspired by a 1968 Skipper, this new model is designed with different colored sub-dials that contrast with the blue dial.
Van Cleef & Arpels Lady Arpels Brise D’Été
One of the most poetic areas of the fair was once again Van Cleef Arpels watches. Lady Arpels Brise D’Été was one of the most heartwarming watches of the fair with its blue flower motifs with green branches on the dial. The 38 mm diameter white gold case of the watch is adorned with diamonds.
H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton
Independent watch brand H. Moser & Cie., which did not participate in the fair last year, took its place at the fair this year. Revealing the movement HMC 814 with its open skeleton dial, the Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton was appreciated for its steel bracelet integrated into the dial.
Nomos Glashütte “Nomos Tangente 38 Date – 175 Watchmaking Glashütte”
German brand Nomos Glashütte was one of the first brands to participate in the fair this year. One of the innovations of the brand was the colored dials added to the Tangente 38 series. Limited to 175 pieces, the 31 references in the Nomos Tangente 38 Date – 175 Watchmaking Glashütte Original series come with 31 different colored dials.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual
The Duometer Heliotourbillon Perpetual is one of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s favorite models, with a perpetual calendar that needs to be corrected in 2100, a three-axis tourbillon and sub dials. It is powered by the new caliber 388 and has a power reserve of 46 hours.
Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde
The Patrimony Moon Phase Retrograde was one of the Vacheron Constantin novelties inspired by the 1950s, offering a vintage look with the days of the moon arranged in a semicircle at the top of the dial, the moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock and the gray dial.
Panerai Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition PAM01405
During the week of Watches and Wonders, Panerai announced five new Submersible models for its official sponsor, the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team. One of the models is the Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition PAM01405, limited to 20 pieces. The 45 mm diameter case is inspired by the carbon fiber hulls of Luna Rossa boats.
Montblanc 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen CARBO2
The case of the new 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen CARBO2 is designed using CARBO2, a recycled carbon fiber-based material. Water resistant up to 100 meters, the watch features a laser engraving of mountain Mont Blanc on the case back.
