One of the most sensational watches of the past years, the Patek Philippe Ref. 5711-1A-018, or the Patek Philippe Nautilus, for US$2,498,876. However, this sale was not the record price for a Patek Philippe Nautilus, as Christie’s last year sold another Patek Philippe Ref. 5711-1A-018 for US$3,180,665.

Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 (CHF 1.739.000)

Manufactured in 1953, the Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 was another rare timepiece of the auction. The most interesting aspect of the sale was that the watch was auctioned by the family of its first owner. The fact that the watch was from the first series produced and that the calendar disks were designed in German (Ref. 2499 models were mostly designed in English, French and Italian) makes the Ref. 2499 is special.
