New Oris Year of the Horse Limited Edition

Oris introduces the Year of the Horse Limited Edition, a refined limited edition timepiece celebrating the spirit of the Year of the Fire Horse.
Freedom, courage and transformation… All the powerful imagery evoked by a galloping horse and the wind it commands find their meaning in the Year of the Fire Horse, which begins on February 17 according to the Chinese zodiac. One of the most striking horological interpretations of this auspicious year is Oris’s new limited edition, the Year of the Horse Limited Edition, distinguished by its deep red dial.

Limited to just 88 pieces, a number symbolising good fortune and prosperity in Chinese culture, the Oris Year of the Horse Limited Edition features a dark red dial framed by a peripheral scale displaying the months and weeks. At 9 o’clock, the dial incorporates a date window, while two centrally positioned sub-dials add depth to the layout, both rendered in complementary red tones.

The sub-dial at 3 o’clock serves as the power reserve indicator and is adorned with two horse motifs: a standing horse in the upper-left corner and a seated horse in the lower-left. These contrasting figures visually indicate the state of the power reserve, offering a poetic and symbolic reading of the movement’s energy.
At the heart of the watch beats the hand-wound Calibre 113, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and delivering an impressive 240-hour power reserve.

The final touch comes in the form of a dark brown horse leather strap, reinforcing the thematic coherence of the timepiece. To discover more details about the Year of the Horse Limited Edition, please visit the brand’s official website.
