The British artist and activist Banksy always achieve to remain a mystery with the world he built on “secret” as well as the metaphorical meanings in his works.
As you know, the artist has recently come to fore with his 10 works left in various locations of England as part of the Great British Spraycation exhibition. Furthermore, he wrote “Banksy” and “Go big or go home” on a barn model in the miniature park Merrivale Model Village in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and he left the work there, which is interestingly. But the most interesting thing is that when the work was discovered and Banksy announced on his Instagram page that he had signed the work, which was called “The Merrivale Stable”, the work was immediately the subject of an auction.
The work sold for over €1 million in two minutes at the Anderson and Garland auction house in Newcastle.
