Omega’s New Olympic Flame: Seamaster Diver 300M “Beijing 2022” Special Edition

Seamaster Diver 300M “Beijing 2022” Special Edition salutes Omega’s prestigious timekeeping history; Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will be 30th olympic occasion of Omega.

Omega has been timekeeper of Olympic Games since 1932. Since then, the exciting moments of the Olympic Games have been kept by the dial of Omega watches. At Garmsich-Partenkirchen  Winter Olympics in 1936, Omega kept time with a new method. Two seperate chronographs used one at the start and another at finish. Over the following years, Omega’s measurement techniques has developed and accompanied the Olympics. 1948 was a year that the birth of electronic timekeeping. The same year,Omega launched Seamaster with two new iconic watches. In 1967, the world’s first swimming touchpads introduced at Pan-American games. Omega continue keeping time at Olympic Games and launched a new edition: Seamaster Diver 300M “Beijing 2022” Special Edition.

In 2022, it will be China’s turn to host the greatest show on snow – and OMEGA will be there, measuring every dramatic moment as Official Timekeeper. To mark the occasion Omega have produced a special edition Diver 300M in steel, with eye-catching tributes to the historic winter sports event, on both the dial and caseback.

Omega says that it’s not difficult to decide on the shade of dial. Since, every competition takes place in below zero temperatures, it has to be the coolest blue. Omega’s watch for Beijing 2022 has a sun-brushed blue ceramic dial with laser-engraved waves, rhodium-plated indexes and hands filled with Super-LumiNova. Also, it has five commemorative minute markers; each created in one of the five colours of the iconic Olympic Rings.

The polished and brushed caseback includes a stamped Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 emblem. Omega’s patented NAIAD LOCK system keeps all engravings in perfect aligment. The bezel ring is in grade 5 titanium. Seamaster Diver 300M “Beijing 2022” Special Edition will be available on April 2021.

Behind the caseback sits the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800. Watch has 55 hours power reserve and water resistance to 30 bar. Besides all these, wathc has a special presentation box in a shade as white snow. Watch is worthy to a collection. Watch will be available from April 2021.
